"I Believe In..." - Coloring Page

Have you seen the studies on how coloring has been known to have therapeutic potential to reduce anxiety, create focus or bring about more mindfulness?

I’ve made this printable to bring along to a loved one who is stuck in the hospital. Bring it as a finished masterpiece, or bring some colored pencils or markers and color it together! You could also gift them this beautiful art therapy journal for cancer fighters.

What a few benefits of adult coloring?

  • Attention flows away from ourselves. A simple act, such as coloring, takes your attention away from yourself and your situation, and onto the present moment.
  • It relaxes the brain. When thoughts are focused on a simple activity like coloring, your brain tend to relax and so do your negative thoughts!
  • Low stakes make it pleasurable. The fact that the outcome of coloring is simple and predictable can also make it relaxing. There is really no way to screw it up, which always feels good!

It also makes a cold and stark hospital room come to colorful life with encouraging reminders when you are no longer there, so hang them where you can see them!
